I am Large and In Charge, Chunky Yet Funky, Bold and Beautiful. I am Latrice Royale. Since my appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4 and Season 1 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, I have been touring the world, more directly touching the hearts of the people that first experienced me through television.
A native of Compton, California, I have called South Florida home for more than 20 years now, and that is where Latrice was born. After years in the clubs and paying for some bad choices that led to my incarceration, I was literally forced to remold myself into a stronger, more dedicated individual. Now, a decade after my release, I am stronger than ever and more determined to show the world who Latrice Royale is.
I was incredibly honored that the fans voted me Miss Congeniality, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities and doors that have opened for me. In 2014 I was fortunate enough to share the stage with Jennifer Hudson at the live television special Fashion Rocks, performing to one of the biggest audiences of my career. I am also featured in the Assaad Yacoub film Cherry Pop as well as the upcoming festival favorite Marabou directed by Tiffany J. Johnson.
My newest single #eXcusethebeauty is the long-awaited follow-up to my previous dance track Weight, which I performed all over the world including on the stage of the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 Reunion Special. My album Here’s To Life, my other musical adventure, is the jazzy soundtrack to my one woman show of the same name. Touring this very personal show, especially getting to do so with my loving fiancé Christopher Hamblin at the piano, allowed me to share my story and connect with my audience much more intimately.
Based on a need I saw in the industry, and on my personal experiences, I chose to create LRI Talent & Management, not only to represent myself, but to provide complete and professional representation to other artists. I have surrounded myself with some of the most passionate, committed individuals in this industry and take great pride in sharing them with my clients, both talent and promoters alike.
I’m so proud of what I have accomplished in my life so far, but I know I have so much more to do. Thank you for your time and attention, but especially for your support.
